When installing vlc via snap I get chromecast support out of the box.
Why has it been disabled in the debian package? I know there was a
problem with vlc/chromecast and gnutls-bin before but that has been
resolved in gnutls-bin 3.5.17-1.

Ok, but there is nothing vlc can do to fix it, unless you plan to fix
mir or protobuf itself (that would be awesome)
