We can perform a "Reverse" bisect to identify the commit that partially
fixes this issue. We first need to know the last kernel that had the
bug and the first kernel version that did not. Can you test the

This is a fresh install. I just got a new Laptop and installed Ubuntu.
I installed the latest upstream kernel.

It does fix the issue but not in it's entirety. Fn+F5/F6
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.13 kernel[

Hi,
I have an ASUS FX553VD machne. Some of my Fn keys are not working. For
example,
Fn+F5/F6 to increase/decrease the brightness and Fn+F3/F4 to adjust the
keyboard LED brightness and Fn+F2(Airplane Mode).
