I'm not sure Gnome bug 789237 alone is sufficient here.
A proper solution should log GPU and monitor details _always_ on
startup, to allow easier diagnosis of start-up bugs. Both Xorg and Mir
do this already...

One of the most important things we miss is the JS backtrace.
It will be soon possible to enable it by adding
SHELL_DEBUG=backtrace-segfaults
And even better by appending also ":backtrace-warnings", which will
allow us to get some more infos.
