I remember that I reported sometime ago that this bug was fixed in Edgy,
next release was also OK. Unfortunately I dont have any laptops with HPA
to test it now. But maybe status fixed is more appropriate.

For me it seems fixed in Edgy. HPA area is accessible after resume and works
w/o any problems. (made dd tests, etc.). Using suspend nearly one week.
