bionic came with assimp-4.1 and somewhere along the road this got fixed.

Although marked as "fix released" due to new version available in
yakkety, it relies on a fixed version of the patch in debian, not on a
fix upstream because 3.3 did not change this part, only the patch for
3.3 is now
