Cleaning up old bugs, since 2.8 with fix included is in zesty and later this is
resolved.
Unless we have to consider guests that change the virtio layout causing trouble
in older releases no SRU are planned.

Hi Jon,
This issue has always existed: the vhost code never got adapted to the
new memory layout since virtio 1.0 was introduced in QEMU 2.4. This
never broke anything on the field because the guest linux virtio drivers
seem to still be using the legacy layout, which is supported by virtio
1.0...
Thanks Breno. Do you know how far back this problem exists in QEMU? Do
you have a testcase that can be used to see the issue and ensure it is
fixed.
