Had the same problem here. I remember adding the "@include common-
pamkeyring" line because I read somewhere that it would stop nm-applet
asking for my passphrase to get the wireless key when I automatically
logged in. It turns out it's better to just login with GDM.

Hi guys. I'm running a new Gutsy Gibbon system that I just set up, and I
have exactly this same problem. I have an infinite loop of
'Authentication Failed' stuff on GDM, but VT logins work. I tried to
blow away just the GDM config files and restore from defaults, but that
didn't seem to fix it.

A workaround for me was to login in on a VT, run startx and just purge
gdm and reinstall. dpkg-reconfigure gdm just made things worse...
I can no longer replicate this issue. It may be an upgrade bug, so I
donno what to do with this now.
