I'm experiencing the same issue using ubuntu 16.04 and a toshiba Tegra and i
would like to keep this version as it is an LTS.
If i understand well the bug is fixed using 16.10 but when can we expect a fix
for 16.04 or do you have an idea on what could i do to workaround this bug.

Leo Lee, testing this in VirtualBox wasn't what was requested, and isn't
terribly relevant here given it is correlated to the hardware used.
Typically when one reports an issue, they test to the same hardware
combination they confirmed the issue in.

I test this on Yakkety Yak in VirtualBox, works normally.
Maybe it's resolved.
Last version of Ubuntu I used is 14.04.
I remembered vlc works normally, but not the same computer.
