Ah - thanks. I tried to do the last thing from the wiki: sudo sh -c
"sync && echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace && pm-suspend" and my computer
just died. I had to hold power like forever before it would reboot...

I've had a go with linux-
image-4.8.0-040800rc3-generic_4.8.0-040800rc3.201608212032_amd64 and the
behaviour is the same, suspend immediately wakes up.
I also tried last week with linux-
image-4.7.0-040700-generic_4.7.0-040700.201608021801_amd64 and it was
present there.

prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
