I recently reinstalled ubuntu and i have still the same bug. When i run
run export LANG=C te problem is solved.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install asclock
Pakketlijsten worden ingelezen... Klaar
Boom van vereisten wordt opgebouwd
Reading state information... Klaar

It's a strange bug, when install the package in a dutch enviroment i get
my error message. When I do LANG="C" and then sudo apt-get install
asclock it installs perfectly.

Thanks for your bug report. I can not reproduce it on a hardy machine.
Which version of ubuntu are you using ? Could you give the error message
in english (LC_ALL=C apt-get install asclock)
