Any progress on this? This is a serious UX issue for less technical
users.
As an example, the rocketchat server is listed first when searching for
rocketchat.

Re-reading the desktop spec, you are correct in that we should show
launchable apps (currently determined by having .desktop files). The
desktop spec allows terminal apps with the key Terminal=true.

I don't think there's a way we can currently determine which snaps use a
GUI but it makes sense to me that we should be able to (and hide the
non-GUI apps).
