apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, etc. are not designed for upgrades between
versions (such as feisty to gutsy) they are for upgrading of packages in that
version.

In Adept the "Complete Upgrade" button is greyed out and in Synaptic the
pop-up message telling me I can upgrade never appears.
