The bug is gone in Hardy, so it is probably OK to close. But if you are
still supporting Gutsy, you could try installing phpmyadmin version
described above, then see what the update manager says. Until I upgraded
to Hardy last week, it was still saying this. Anyway, I don't personally
care since I

I'm not sure why you think this is a phpmyadmin issue, could you elaborate on
that? Phpmyadmin depends on php4-mcrypt or php5-mcrypt. That looks fine to me.
