i have the problem too (since Gutsy),
the cause (in my case) was the root_sqash flag of the nfs export, due to the
adept_manager will be startet under root permissions (kdesudo) it has no
read/write permissens in the users home if the nfs share was exported with
root_squash. I have changed ist
I have the same problem with kate than it will probably a bug in
dcopserver !
