Sles, there is no need to export LANG variable. Exporting will set
language to C (what ever it is) globally. LANG=C sets language to
default (en) in context of terminal and d

Explore the link in my post above. Setting LANG=C helps. Btw, I've
found, that there is no translation for the string, that ends with
'these drivers.' (see the output) in ruussian file (ru.po). In finnish
file (fi.po) there is
Workaround:
Typing "export LANG=C; restricted-manager" at console starts Restricted-manager
just fine.

I too have hard time starting restricted-manager. Restricted-manager
worked fine at gutsy-beta but after clean install of the final version
it hasn't worked and spits out exactly same output as seen at two above
examples.
Problem might be language related, it seams we three all are Finns.

I got exactly the same problem. I did a clean install of Gutsy (release
version). Restricted-manager asks for a password but just outputs a
similiar Python crash dump like the one above.
