i am going to get the custom kernel, which from my friend tells me, is a
lot quicker than the standard.

Thanks for your bug report. Gutsy does a lot of things differently with many
of the drivers then Feisty, the main ones that come to mind are the wireless
drivers. In my case they are loaded much earlier in the boot causing the first
portion of the boot process(before logging in) to take much
