Same issue here. also, trying to open a remote pdf with okular fails
while opening it with evince works as expected.

I am also experiencing this after an upgrade to 15.10. I can navigate
the remote directories and gedit works fine, but geany shows all remote
files as empty.

Sadly, I've found out that this is more of a GVFS problem than Geany's.
I can't even cd to that directory.

I have the same behaviour - gedit works so I can open in that and then
copy to geany to edit as I prefer that. Also 15.10

Hmm, also it displays an error regarding the file or directory doesn't
exist if I try to open it directly through Geany. Opening it from
Nautilus Geany says it opened just fine, sadly in both cases no content
is loaded.
