Recently, this has not happened. I did not yet do the recommended BIOS
update, just the normal Ubuntu updates.

I experience similar problem but with Intel graphic card i915. And
mostly when using Google Chrome, LibreOffice or Viber. For example, I
clicked Tools -> Options in LibreOffice and I was returned to login
