I´m sory for my information before, I didn´t try to do a standartinstallation
becuase I wanted to install vnc as well. that installation didn´t work.
Now i tried it relay standart, in german, and the installation worked

I selected german, vienna time and standard installation.
Anyway, mythbuntu is great...

just tried it again, this time installed in english, english keyboard,
newyork timezone and it went right.
So it must be either with montreal timezone, french language or french
keyboard...
I selected all others options just the same.

timezone. other options pretty straight forward. all myth plugins
selected, closed nvidia driver (geforce 2-4)...
