kernel, since it takes multiple boots to confirm if a kernel is good or

Pardon the double post but there seems to be no way to edit previous
posts. I can compile any patches and test them on my laptop if you need
this to be done on my specific hardware. I know how difficult it is
finding and patching a bug without the specific hardware to test the
patch.

I'm having trouble updating the BIOS since I don't have an easy way of
running Windows on this machine so it might take some time to test.
Do you expect a BIOS update to fix this? Note that this functionality
was working perfectly before and Googling for similar dmesg erorrs
suggest problems like
