vivid+overlay : unity8 fail
BTW, after you raised the issue a week or so ago I did go to the trouble
of testing nvidia+unity8 on my desktop. Seems to work fine (as well as
Intel), but I was using wily and using the more formal login approach in
comment #8.

dinamic:
unity8.log is showing it has chosen driver "mesa" (which it should not
because it should be nested), and it's also showing driver version
0.11.0 which is very old now. So there are at least two obvious issues
there.
Please do these:
0. If you can, upgrade the whole system to wily as tha
it's a desktop and i'm using unity8-desktop-session-mir :(

Is that on a latptop or desktop? If so, the cleanest way to run unity8
is to install unity8-desktop-session-mir and then select it the
unity8-mir session from the lightdm greeter when logging in.
