Intrepid doesn't use any custom splash graphics, (it uses KDE defaults)
so this is fixed.

I just experienced this bug while upgrading a machine from feisty to gutsy.
Reinstalling the package kubuntu-default-settings didn't fix the problem. I
don't understand what exactly is the problem.

I can confirm this bug. The Background.png symlink in
/usr/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/ points to the new wallpaper. But
Preview.png is the old one and the description in Theme.rc is still
"Kubuntu Edgy Splash". It looks quite strange having the new wallpaper
in KDM login and then the old one. It's j
