Sorry this doesn't fix it... It's really strange :
If you open sample1 (which triggers the issue) then (while it's open)
you open a new document type an É bold arial, it will show the bug
Then if you close both documents and just open a new document and type
an É bold arial it won't show the bug
"sample1" refers to my attachment named "document that triggers this
bug"
I can reconfirm that removing msttcorefonts solve this issue too.

To fix this issue I did :
rm -rf ~/.fontconfig/;sudo fc-cache -r -v
I don't know which one of these command fixed the issue, but I guess
it's the first one (as now I'm not able to reproduce the problem even
after removing msttcorefonts, recreating the cache, installing
msttcorefonts).

If you remove msttcorefonts it works (but then I guess Arial is replaced
with another font).
