As VanillaMozilla said, packages in the Ubuntu repositories are never
updated (except for security updates) to prevent compatibility issues
between different versions of shared libraries, etc. However, MuseScore
2.0.2 is now available from the PPA https://launchpad.net/~mscore-
ubuntu/+archive/ubun
As a matter of policy, the Ubuntu repository provides only security
updates within a Ubuntu version. Thus, you will not see version 2 in
the Ubuntu repositories.
However, you can get version 2.0.0 by adding a PPA.
