I've been bitten by this as well, and can post any of the files I have
if they'd be helpful. updata-manager pointed me to 5 files in /var/log
/dist-upgrade...

Well, I hadn't expected this log would be so laconic... How can we debug
this? Looks like apport didn't keep me the core dump. Is there any way
to find it now? Else, we'll have to close this bug...
