Problem:

I tried after an update and dist-upgrade and removed all the nvidia-*
packages from my system. Did a sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
and rebooted.
After that the rainbow of flashing colours remains and I can't see gdm.
Please let me know what else can I provide/do.

We've got newer versions of the driver in Hardy - could someone test
Hardy beta or newer and see if the issue still exists?
