Hi Jeff-
For Ubuntu, they only package 4.0.7 and they built the package wrong,
linking against gtk3. So, we're Fix Released but the Ubuntu bug is
still open and unresolved until they build the package correctly.

This bug shows on 18.04, but not on the Kicad provided ppa for version
4.0.7, which I've been using before.
The Kicad shipped by Ubuntu 18.04 is *BROKEN*, as the crosses make using
eeschema impossible.
I don't see why this is labeled "opinion" and not "confirmed".
