I just updated my arale to oxide 1.7.4, and the issue seems to be gone.
However the video is cropped when rotating to landscape after entering
fullscreen, so that would be a regression.

More data: if I rotate the device to landscape, there’s no white bar.
Rotating back to portrait restores the white bar though, it doesn’t
"fix" the issue.
Also, if I trigger the fullscreen action while in landscape and then
