I can also confirm the same behaviour - is this affecting just a few, or
is nobody able to configure their screen edge buttons using
compizconfig-settings-manager?

I can confirm this doesn't work for me either.
In addition, "Show Desktop" doesn't work at all. When I move the cursor
towards corners of the screen nothing happens. I tried changing the
"movement" option to left/right and top/bottom but that had no effect.
