I have seen this same bug. I saw an error relating to nvidia-glx while
upgrading. I have also seen the same error message if I go to
synaptic->Status->Not installed (residual config) and try to purge
nvidia-glx there. The error I get is:
E: nvidia-glx: subprocess post-removal script returned error
