The problem is, that the current version from Debian needs adjustments
to the config-files, while the version currently packed with Ubuntu does
not work at all.

The latest version packaged in Ubuntu at the moment is fai 3.4.8ubuntu5.
The ubuntu-part of the version number says that this package has some
Ubuntu-specific patches, which unfortunately means that any newer
release from Debian will need to be manually merged by someone.

The problem is a lack of maintainers. Someone needs to package and test it for
Ubutu.
Currently I'm maintaining a ppa that is coherent with upstream [1], yet
adjustments to the config must be made to get it working [2]. This mainly
applies to small changes like adjusting the sources.list and pa
