Sagar, please use ifconfig and its manpage. I did nothing magic, just
manual interface configuration instead of DHCP.
It is really just about giving the interface an IP/subnet, and
eventually a default gateway with "route add" ...

Part of my production environment was configured with MAAS 1.5 version
and recently I upgraded MAAS to 1.8 version after which I start seeing
issues while configuring 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04.5 image.
Any workaround available?
