The temporary fix of switching to UXA worked!
Running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (64-bit) on an Acer Aspire E1-572 laptop.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4200U
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4400 (on-board graphics) running Intel Ha
I don't experience this issue anymore on Ubuntu 14.04 with Vivid kernel
and X stack from proposed updates repository. By the way, I never
encountered this bug on Vivid, in the first place.

Seems to be fixed, but I'll have to wait for the next LTS enablement stack
(14.04.3) to check.
The temporary fix is to switch to UXA, as the acceleration method.

I see exactly the same issue in 3.2.2 (using the stable PPA). The crash
log is the same (only the addresses are different).
