I'm going to mark this as Invalid since it is really a documentation

Hi,
Thinking about this, I bet a restart is necessary, or at least a restart
of lightdm. I will update the Wiki to reflect this. The restart is

unity8-lxc session. I've been running this lightdm for so long now that
it did

I don't believe I have unity8-desktop-session-mir installed. I'll have
to double check this, but the laptop mentioned above had a largely new
installation that was not setup by myself.

Hi,
No, a restart is not necessary.
Another thing I thought of. Do you happen to have the unity8-desktop-
session-mir package installed as well? If so, then a change is needed.
I have an MP to get this fixed in Trusty, but the SRU process takes a
while. In the meantime, I will upload a test pa
I believe I did update lightdm. I'll double check and get those logs. Is
a restart required post installing and setting up the Unity8-lxc? If so,
that should probably added here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Unity8inLXC

Thank you for providing this bug report.
Hmm, I can't seem to reproduce this on a Trusty host.
Have you updated the version of LightDM? Please provide the output of
'apt-cache policy lightdm'.
Also, in case your LightDM is updated, could you provide the following
