Please try firing up a Python interpreter and try:
import sys
print sys.path
Please provide the list that gets printed both with
python2.5-2.5.1-5ubuntu3 and python2.5-2.5.1-5ubuntu1 and see if the
problem recurs once you've upgraded. I suspect that sys.path has the
answer to how the interpreter
