I agree it is not optional. If we could find a identifier on the SIM
certain to be unique, we could allow the user to set the phone number
for each SIM, as we allow a name to be set for each SIM.
Edit SIM details -> [name] [phone number]
We then tie this to the subscriber number (if guaranteed to

Yes this is still an issue. Running the above script, SimManager only
returns SubscriberNumbers for one of the SIMs. That's probably why it
falls back to SubscriberIdentity.

This depends on what the SIM reports. For the SIM being represented by the SIMS
number, can you find the phone number in the ouput of
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems # on your phone, requires ofono-scripts
package
