Same here on i386. Downgrading to 1:0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu1 also fixes the problem.
Before that, if I entered "knetworkmanager" from command line, the answer was
that it was not installed and suggested to do a "sudo apt-get install
knetworkmanager". The answer to this it was that I already had the la
Oh, and most people will need to insert another line in Christian's

sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid
sudo iwconfig wlan0 key

Seconded on i386. I don't quite see what the update which caused this
bug was trying to achieve. Perhaps network-manager-kde should be taken
offline until it has the basic things needed (such as an executable) to
be in a form worth testing.

I can confirm this on gutsy i386 with the current updates. It seems
that the knetworkmanager package has been deprecated in favor network-
manager-kde, and after the last update, knetworkmanager was uninstalled
with network-manager-kde installed instead, but the latter package has
no executables l
I can confirm this, too. I've used a similar workaround as gomek, but on

I would like to add that the package version I am having a problem with
is 1:0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu3.
I have temporarily solved the problem by downloading and installing version
1:0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu1 from:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/k/knetworkmanager/network-manager-kde_0.2ubuntu1-0ub
I'm also using iwconfig/dhclient as a workaround. I just wanted to
confirm that this happens in the generic 32-bit i686 kernel, not just
amd64.
