Eddy, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .
My mouse and trackpad don't work after hibernate. Only a restart or
command "modprobe psmouse" gets them working again. Running Lucid.

This report seems to be for Feisty, but the problem occurs in Karmik Kuala, too.
I don't think it's just mice. After hibernation, my Nokia 5310 phone has
trouble connecting to the computer via USB cable.

Same problem. Started Ubuntu from standby and plugged an external mouse
in but nothing happens. The mouse light doesn't even light up.

forgot to note: works "fine" after unplugging and re-plugging. And by
"fine" I mean it corrupts the x.org keyboard configuration (with a "Read
error: No such device" in Xorg.0.log) and forces its layout back to
qwerty.

I think I have this bug too. My dmesg is attached. lsusb (to attach in a
second) enumerates the device but it doesn't work.

I can confirm this bug on Intrepid up-to-date (28 oct). I have to
unplug/plug the mouse to get it working again.

upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
