The bug is not fixed. I am using the Ubuntu beta 8.04. Since the
install the Gnome installer is not letting me add (or uninstall) any
programs. This happened after i tried to add Nvidia (new) third party
graphics driver from available software options. Now even after several
restarts it is not

Same problem here - occurred while update-manager was already running
and installing programs and I tried to go to Applications->Add/Remove.
