Yes. We've managed to catch some of the issues but it's still an issue
and this should stay open after lmms-1.2.0 is released. We've switched
over to SDL as default backend and it's behaving better on this issue.
With SDL I only see this when I intentionally press the system with
maximum strain on

I just rebuilt a newer version of LMMS
I built it in an older PPA (ignore the numbering and release)
The package is actually:

Can confirm this bug still exists (in the Ubuntu Universe repository
package at least). I am running Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid and using LMMS
version 1.0.3-5. This glitch makes it impossible to actually do any
editing or use the program for that matter.
