I can confirm this one too. I am using Xubuntu 8.04 freshly installed on a Dell Inspiron 9300 with ATI X1300. I tried with the open source ATI driver and the fglrx driver. ==> This bug does not happen here when XFCE's compositor is disabled. <== The screen always un-freezes after 10-15sec. --
