I've the same problem with Lenovo ThinkPad S540.
I can suspend correctly (the power light flashes and all turn off), but
when I resume, the desktop appears "cloudy" and the laptop freeze.

I can confirm the issue still exists on the new BIOS; it just happened
again. Closed laptop lid, screen turned off, laptop didn't go into
sleep, fan spins up, laptop is frozen.

Updating the BIOS fixed the problem. For now. Last time I upgraded the
BIOS it also temporarily fixed the problem. There seems to be something
that triggers this bug on and off. I guess I'll just have to wait and
file a new bug report if the problem does come back? Thanks for your
patience!
