Could you please recheck this issue with Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 Live CD? The i810 driver is obsolete and replaced with the new Intel driver. This one was also available with Feisty. Just install xserver-xorg- video-intel and replace the i810 entry in xorg with intel . ** Changed in: xserver-xorg
