Maya44 sound card out-of the box. I think that somebody should work on
that patch regularly so it would be compatible with incoming Alsa

This is a patch against alsa-driver-1.0.17, which adds support for ESI MAYA 44.

I have written to ESI and asked if they were going to write MAYA44
driver for Linux. There is a reply:
"Dear Piotr
ESI do not provide and have no plans for Linux drivers for our products
However
ESI are happy to provide /share information to an Individual developer
within the Linux communit
