as I said - I followed the requirements in the wiki to provide the logs
- I couldn't do anything with the volume controls after I'd run killall
pulseaudio
be that as it may - I've got my fix - I reported this so that others
could be helped - it appears that we're just going round in circles now

No change to volume in lowest 20% of control
To manage notifications
First I have no idea about "do you mean emu10k1 's min dB -9.99 is
lower than pulseaudio 's min dB ?"
Second - tried to follow the instructions in the wiki page, not able to
use the media volume keys to replicate the issue once killall pulseaudio
has run.
