@mruk69: Unity doesn't crash... It's just too slow. I'm using GNOME
fallback session though it's just inconvenient. I tested nvidia-173 and
mainline kernel and had no success.

The nouveau drivers crash, the proprietary, tested (304.117) messes up
the screen . I am using the 304.117 Proprietry but is keeps crashing.
I am going to try the 173 legacy and see what happens.
