I also join in requesting an update of the nvidia driver 331 or better.
I'm experiencing redrawing/repainting/display corruption of OpenGL
applications when minimized.

Please update to 331. 49 and/or provide Nvidia 334.
@Jason: in theory nvidia-331-updates was supposed to be updated
frequently after the Ubuntu release, whereas nvidia-331 would remain at
the same version. In practice the SRU process is too slow for this, and
the main reason for keeping nvidia-331-updates around, is that on
development releases, aft
Alberto,
BTW, what's the difference between `nvidia-331` and
`nvidia-331-updates`?

Excellent. I'll work on it.
** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers-331 (Ubuntu)
Assignee: (unassigned) => Alberto Milone (albertomilone)
** Description changed:
- Provide Nvidia 334.21 drivers for ubuntu 14.04.
+ Provide Nvidia 334.21 drivers for ubuntu 14.04 in the xorg-edgers PPA.
This
+1 for 334 in the xorg-edgers ppa, that would be extremely helpful for
System76.
Maxwell desktop GPUs seem to work fine with nvidia 331, but we're not
yet sure about mobile Maxwell hardware. Having 334 handy in a PPA would
be very helpful for testing.
Thanks!

Sorry but 331.49 breaks hybrid graphics. We're working to track down the
regression.
As for 334.x, that's a short lived driver branch, and we don't plan to
ship the driver (as it would bring more package migration headaches when
support for that branch ends).
Would it help if we simply provided a
Not having the latest nvidia driver is silly.
i.e to ship a version with known bugs in (fixed in later versions) and
that don't support the latest hardware in the name of 'stability' is a
bit mad - its not like you can fix the issues (its closes source..)
Unless you ship with 334.21 speed in Op
For what it's worth, System76 would really like to see Nvidia 334 in
Trusty. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help test
(say, an nvidia 334 package in proposed). We have Maxwell hardware on-
hand.
