I have the same problem.
When logout, the desktop is empty but the wallpaper stays, the mouse is still
active but the keyboard
doesn't respond (CTRL-ALT-Fx)
But the system il still "alive", and pressing the power button makes the
PC shutdown.
I'm using a Nvidia Geforce 7600GT with 100.14.11 dri
