hi,
im not the creator of this report but i got the same problem
using gutsy fully patched, installed kino directly from repository, it wouldn't
start. The Kino screen appears and the logo is shown. Nothing further happens.
the last lines when I start kino from console are:

Does it give any error message? And if you try running it on a terminal,
what does it say?
