Maybe thumbnails are rendered each time they are displayed. When you
scroll up, each new line of thumbnails causes the delay. If you scroll
down until the line is hidden and scroll up again, it delays again. This
is true even now with the thumbnail rendering defunct.

I am surprised that this bug is till unassigned. In my view, this has
been one of the most significant showstoppers for Ubuntu Touch since its
release in October.

This is not a regression (I'm only just now filing this).
If I open the webbrowser-app and press 'Activity' from the bottom
toolbar, it can take several esconds (5-10) for the activity tab to
- display. Once it does, scrolling up and down is painfully slow. Left to
I guess this is very dependent on the number of entries in the history.
Maybe the size of thumbnails plays its part in the general slowness
feeling.
